CDC is pleased to be friends of
Noah's Ark Vet Hospital.
Noah's is a state of the art facility in Muirfield. In addition to offering routine veterinary services, they are an emergency hospital open 24 hrs/7days/wk. Their experienced veterinarians and staff provide excellent care in addition to helping the animal rescue community.

Plus, their newest staff member, Yushay (a japanese chin mix rescued by Columbus Dog Connection, and adopted by Renee Kelly, owner of Noah's Ark) is so talented and wise, that she appointed herself owner of the clinic, she even started her own blog. Stop by and visit her and the staff, tell them Columbus Dog Connection sent you!

Cols Dispatch Article on the puppy mill issue

Ohio is the Puppy Mill Clearinghouse for well known out of state Convicted Breeders.  Junior Horton of Virginia, convicted of animal cruelty, purchased dogs at the March 21, & Oct 1 2009 Ohio Dog Auctions. The Humane society removed 700 dogs from Horton's kennel in'08.

A judge convicted Horton of 14 animal cruelty and 25 neglect charges in July of 2008.  Horton faces new charges, following an unannounced inspection in January 2009.  Those charges include animal neglect, having too many adult dogs, not maintaining adequate records, and not having certificates showing the dogs are healthy enough to breed.

 Buckeye Dog Auction hosts
A Minnesota breeder on trial for torture is selling a total of 600 dogs at the Buckeye Dog Auction in Holmes County Ohio.  This same breeder was found guilty and did jail time for practicing veterinary medicine.
This is a news story with graphic video of this puppy miller who is now dumping her dogs via the Holmes Co Dog Auction.
